Taking the championship at the Border British Blue club’s primestock show and sale at Carlisle was W T McMiken, Nether Ernambrie with a heifer weighing 547kg and selling for 177.5p (£970.93) to Mike Atkinson

Taking the reserve championship was M and J Cowen, East Curthwaite Farm with another heifer this time weighing 661kg and selling for 174.5p (£1153) purchased by Charles Kirkaptrick.
