Lincoln Reds cause stir at Newark

Causing a stir and applause round the ring side, one of the two Lincoln Red bulls forward for Newark’s multi breed sale today has just matched the top price of the day met earlier by a Charolais.

Forward from Mr and Mrs R H Grace, Solebay John, a Market Stainton Esquire son has just been knocked down at 5000gns to Michael Winterbotham, Derbyshire. This is the first bull to have been bred by the couple and is the first one to have been sold. Coupled with that I’d say the long journey up from Cornwall was worth it!

They sold their other entry – another Esquire son – minutes before at 2100gns to Riseholme Park Farms, Lincoln.
