Carlisle Blues off to reasonable start

With several reports from breeders at Carlisle today suggesting the offering of British Blues today is not of a vintage quality the trade has got off to a selective start with the overall champion from the pre-sale show Ballyhosset Duke from Jason and Jennifer Edgar selljng at 10,500gns. The reserve champion from the pre-sale show Crackley Bank Cannon from Paul Walker then sold at 9000gns. This is ET bred from Bringlee Sandy. This was bought by an undisclosed buyer. Res Sup Champ L9.JPGEarlier, the third lot in the ring, Lukeroyal Clown, forward from Andrew Ewing, made 4000gns. This is a Dafydd son out of Lukeroyal Winnifred, a Campagnard ET De St Fontaine daughter. He sold to J A Wood and Sons, Shrewsbury.

Then a few lots later Brookfield Duke from S and G A Potter made 4500gns. This one is by Bringlee Waldo, a Bringlee Sandy son and out of a dam by Histon D’Embise and was bought by James Retson and Son, Annan.
