Neil Slack takes Royal Highland Winter Fair Baby Beef title

The ongoing success story that is Neil Slack’s March born Limousin cross steer Alfie, saw another chapter written here at Ingliston a few moments ago when he claimed the Baby Beef title here. This is the fourth win of the year for Alfie, a 360kg Fieldson Alfie son, with this homebred steer having already won at Countryside Live, Agri-Expo and the English Winter Fair, as well as being reserve at the East of England Winter Stock Festival.baby beef slack.jpgStanding reserve here was Poker Dot, a Limousin cross from Charlotte Alford, Devon. This one was bred by W A Fettes, Buckie, and is by an unregistered French Limousin bull owned by Andrew Anderson, Smallburn Farms. March-born heifer Poker Dot was bought privately earlier in the year.
