Ross dairy top at 1800gns
The Talent daughter, Lissaniskey Tal Flora, sold for the day’s highest price of 1800gns at the Late October Collective Sale of Holstein Friesians at Ross Auction Centre, Ross-on-Wye. The calved heifer was consigned by Brownswood Holsteins of Worcester, and was purchased by E T and V Morris of Ocrop, Hereford.
Sevenoaks Beaufort EM, a calved heifer by Westportuk Beaufort Red, from P G Sevenoaks, Brecon, Powys sold for 1600gns to J and N Biddle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire.
The same buyers paid 1600gns for Joteme Cashmere Carmen, a calved heifer by Wa Del Cashmere out of a Comestar Outside sired cow from D E and H N Jackson, Tenbury Wells, Herefordshire.
Cows sold to 1480gns for a MRI cross 3rd calver from V J Davies and Partners, Chepstow. The buyers were D J and M Edwards, Redditch, Worcestershire. They also bought a Holstein Friesian third calver for 1450gns from the same vendors.
Served heifers sold to 1200gns for a Cogent Obut daughter from J Williams and Son, Usk. The purchasers were C H and C Wooff, Llangybi.
Yearling heifers sold to 680gns (Gwilym Richards).
