Blackface gimmers set new record at Stirling

Blackface gimmers sold to a new centre record at Stirling yesterday when Messrs Hunter and Wood, Dachirla, sold a pen of 10 for £1020 to F Thomson, Rannoch Farm, Kellas. The 50 forward from Dachirla went on to level the sale at £580.

Another pen from Dachirla took the second top of the day when they sold at £400, with third best a pen from Gavinburn at £200/head.

Meanwhile in the Blackface ewes forward the best call of £500/head also marked a new centre record, with this price given from a pen from Ewan MacMillan, Lurg, which were bought by N S P Parry, Marbreck, Carspairn. Second best in the ewes was a £390 call for another pen from Mr MacMillan.
