Taking reserve beef champion, and continuing with their success on the winter showing circuit, was a Limousin x steer from Michael, Melanie and Charlotte Alford, Foxhill Farm, Devon.

Weighing in at 550kg, I’m Your Man is by a Limousin bull and out of a Limousin x cow.  He was bought privately from the Blanfords of Worcester, and today’s success follows on from being crowned reserve champion steer at Countryside Live, Harrogate.

Judge Wendy Hunter, Spott Cottage, Angus, said:  “They are both outstanding animals, but I chose the champion because her lines were really good and she was slightly lengthier and a fraction more modern. It really came down to fine points.”
