Limousin Bull Sale 2012: Top prices

So that’s it all from the Limousin Sale at Carlisle today. It has been a tremendous trade with some high priced bulls. 

Today’s highest prices came from;

G P Vaughan and Son’s DolcorsllwynFabio smashed the record at 120,000gns selling to Messrs  Jenkinson. FarmManager, Iain Scott told Taking Stock; He’s an all round bull and he’scompletely different to what we’ve got so we were determined to have him”. 

Not only did it break the UK all breedsrecord but it also broke the world record for a Limousin. Following that was;

Messrs McKay Ampertaine Foreman sold to 38,000gns with a beef value of +40.
Emslies Livestock Emslie Frenchman selling at 37,000gns with has a beef value of +36. 
Bruce T Goldie’s Goldie Black Forever realises 30,000gns with beef value of +43.

The sale average was ÂŁ8203.29 for 131 cattle sold out of 143 forward. Clearance rate was 91%.
