It was a Suffolk shearling ram that scooped the interbreed title for Sandy Frazer of Scunthorpe. Homebred and by Solway Sovereign and out of a homebred ewe this March 2011 born twin has never been shown before and made it’s first outing today. Mr Frazer who keeps 35 pedigree ewes runs under the company County Turf who have supplied turf for the Olympic stadium. Mr Frazer may take his shearling ram to the Highland Show later this year.
In reserve was the Texel shearling ewe Fresh Fields from Frank Rushton. This one is by Tullagh Real Deal who is shared with Ben Vernon of the Charben Flock and is out of a homebred ewe.
It is this March 2011 born first show outing after taking the champion Texel title
