Swaledale average rises £17.25 on the year at Middleton in Teesdale sale
The annual prize show and sale of 3,983 Swaledale ewes and gimmer shearlings at Middleton in Teesdale, turned out to be one of the best sales ever witnessed at this centre. There was a total clearance with the sale average rising by £17.25 to £145.41.
The show, was judged by Mr W Metcalf and Miss J Metcalf, who made the following awards from the twelve plus pens of 10 presented:-
