English Winter Fair: Pig results

In the pig lines it was a pure Pietrain pair of gilts that caught judge Mrs R Wyllie’s eye from Banbury. The 19 week old pair by a JSR boar was homebred by Alan and Jackie Bretherton, Blackburn. This is the first time the Bretherton’s have shown pigs at the English Winter Fair.

In reserve was a Large White pair forward from Ron Fieldhouse, Tadcaster. This September 2012 born pair have not been shown anywhere else and are sired by Calcaria Champion Turk.
