Royal Highland Winter Fair 2012: individual sheep championship

In the individual breed championships, the top spot among the purebred Blackfaces was an entry from Messrs R and B Dickie, weighing in at 81kg. Reserve went to Messrs J and T Macpherson for their 86kg pair.

The Swaledale championship was secured by Mr Christopher Akrigg’s 99kg pair and in reserve was an entry from Messrs H Huddleston weighing 101kg.

Douganhill Farms secured the ultimate acolade in the North Country Cheviot championship with a pair weighing 93kg. Reserve went to Bridgewater Wood’s 82kg pair.

The champion South Country Cheviot was a duo from Mr Andrew Reid weighing 80kg.

Among the Mules and crosses, H Cockburn and Partners got the top spot with a pair weighing 86kg. In reserve was a 99kg duo from J and G Sinclair.
