Uncertainty had existed since Elphinstone went into administration last autumn, but this spells the end of that uncertainty and marks a new chapter in the business. You can read the full story here

With the main round of spring bull sales completed and more than 2000 miles completed in the process, its been a busy spell for Taking Stock already in 2010.

But that is nothing compared to the dedication Taking Stock followers have shown already this year, racking up an amzing 103,000 page views so far this year and a phenomenal number of comments too about just about every possible subject in the breeding world.

For the statos among you this compares to just over 38,500 in the same time period last year and puts us well on target for more than 1m page views this year - provided of course you all keep coming back as often!

But, not being ones to rest on our laurels there will be new developments along this year to boost the offering Taking Stock gives you, the first of which is the ability to follow all the sales news reported here on Taking Stock via Facebook - simply search for Taking Stock on Facebook and then become a fan of the site to follow all the news. Alternatively simply click the link and sign up that way.

And of course you can already follow us on Twitter too, just look for FWtakingstock on twitter and sign up to follow us wherever you are and wherever we go! Clicking the link works for Twitter too, so its easy to sign up.

For now I've just updated the spring bull sales picture gallery again, so have a look and see what you make of the Limousins, Simmentals and Charolais from this week and the Angus, Limousins and Shorthorns from the last round of sales....

And, of course, there'll be news from the British Blue sale at Carlisle on Friday and I'm just off to book flights for the Royal Northern Spring Show next week, so see you there too.
