Stirling bull sales: Aberdeen Angus showing

It’s a cold and misty morning here on the first day of the Perth Bull Sales at United Auctions, Stirling. Myself and Rhian Price will be keeping you up to date with what’s going on from the show and sales rings.

At the moment, the show ring is filling up as the first classes of the three day fixture get underway.

First up, it’s the Aberdeen Angus….

In the females the first place and the overall female championship has gone to Belhaven Beauty L338 (Lot 123). This March 2011 born heifer if a GH Coverboy Eric 110R daughter – a Canadian sire which has bred sons to $40,000 in Canada and £15,000 in UK. She is out if Southolm Beauty 33L and has a TSI of +28 and a SRI of +39 and was put forward by Messrs J Gilmour and Co.

In second place and taking the female reserve is Promise Black Lady L046 (Lot 130) from Geirge L Pirie Esq. She is by Galawater Express G314 and out of Dalmore Black Lily H506. This one has a TSI of +30 and a SRI of +42.

In third is Cheeklaw Esk L396 (lot 125), again from D G Lucas Esq. She is a Bunlahy Bilty G202 daughter, out of Cheeklaw Estell A073.

Now on to the bulls…

Class 1: Bulls born on or between 19 June 2010 and 9 January 2011

1st: Jan Boomaars Esq’s bull, Vexour Nearmiss K293 (Lot 7)

2nd: Messrs J and W Arnott’s, Haymount Geiger K068 (Lot 8)

3rd: Messrs J and W Arnott’s, Evening Star K073 (Lot 10)

Taking the top spot is Vexour Nearmiss, a Wedderlie Nereside H581 son with a TSI of +36 and SRI of +50.

In second is Haymount Giger K068, a Bardrain Eiger G284 son, out of Haymount Gevora G736. This one has a TSI of +36 and a SRI of +45. 

Class 2: Bull born on or between 10 January and 11 February 2011

1st: Messrs A E and C R Bishop’s Warrenho Jumbo Eric L356 (Lot 24)

2^nd: Messrs R and N ORR’s Hambeath Pedro L421 (Lot 25)

3^rd: Neil W H Muth Esqu’s Carmains Quasar L028 (Lot 19)

In first is the Warrenho Dalmigavie G237 son, Warrenho Jumbo Eric L356 which has a TSI of +34 and a SRI of +40.

In second is Halbeath Pedro L421 with a TSI of +46 and a SRI of +56. This one is a Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 son, out of Halbeath Pam H324.

Class 3: Bulls born on or between 12 February and 19 March 2011

 1^st: Messrs R Bruce and Partners’ Logie Roddam L105 (Lot 35)

2^nd: Messrs N F Massie and Sons’ Blelacj Titan L616 (Lot 41)

3^rd: Bryan S Ronan Esq’s Jerusalen Da Vinci L205 (Lot 39)

In first position is Logie Roddam L105, a Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 son out of Logie Rosebell G555. This one has a TSI of +44 and a SRI of +55.

Taking the second spot is Blelack Titan L616, which has a TSI of +40 and a SRI of +53. He is a Blelack Evolution J140 son, out of Blelack Toplass F552.
