£83.80 top for Texel x lambs at Kirkby Stephen

An entry of 2,412 sheep was forward at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Tuesday night, consisting of 2,042 prime lambs and 370 cast ewes and rams.

Topping at £83.80 were Texel x lambs from Moorland View and purchased by A Slack.

Hitting 204.9p/kg was a pen of eight Beltex x lambs from R E and S Williamson, Littleburn. These were purchased by Vivers Scotlamb.

Cast ewes and rams were dearer with many being up £10 on recent weeks.
