Limo dispersal sells to 9500gns high twice

Apologies for the delay in getting this report to you, but here’s the report from the Limo herd dispersal at Ballymena last week.

Leading the sale were a pair of animals at the joint top price of 9500gns. First to reach this figure was Limo Verse, a Shire Milton out of Rahoney Ruth. With a beef value of +48 and sold with her calf at foot by 50,000gns sire Wilodge Cerberus , she was carrying a pregnancy to 28,000gns sire Procters Cavalier and headed home to Procters Farm, Clitheroe.

The second at this price also headed to the same buyer. This was Limo Babe, a 2006-born second calver by Limo Tanat out of Ashmore Rosebud. Selling with a beef value of +22 she had a Cerberus calf at foot.

Selling at 8000gns was Limo Eyeful, a Wilodge Vantastic son out of Limo Update, a Tanat Mostyn daughter. He sold with a beef value of +41 to T D Wright, Melrose.

Making 7000gns was Limo Vixen, an ET bred heifer by Shire Milton and out of Oska, a French bred foundation cow. She has a beef value of +38 and sold with a Cerberus calf at foot to Seamus Crilly, Mullaghbawn.

A brace then sold at 6000gns, the first being Limo Update, Limo Eyefull’s mother. She is by Tanat Mostyn and out of Derg Patricia and sold with a Cerberus calf at foot to J Duncan, Antrim. Second to make this price was Limo Ellen, a heifer by 42,000gns sire Wilodge Vantastic out of Limo Vixen. She went to John Crofts, Gamston, with a beef value of +43.

Snapped up at 5500gns was Limo Dot, a Ronick Hawk daughter out of 9500gns cow Limo Verse. She was sold in calf to Neuf and with a beef value of +42. Buyer of this was a Finney, Banbridge.

Also at this price was young bull Limo Esso, a Vantastic son out of French cow Operette. He sold to Roberth Clyde for the Clydevalley herd.
