A young farmer has died after a farm machinery accident in Northern Ireland.
The 30-year-old victim, named locally as James Irwin, was killed in an accident involving a combine harvester on the family farm near Dungannon, Co Tyrone, on Sunday (11 September).
Mr Irwin had planned to get married in the coming weeks.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive in Northern Ireland (HSENI) said it had been informed of the fatality.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this most difficult time,” he added.
Five people have been killed on farms in Northern Ireland this year. In 2015, six people lost their lives on farms in Ulster.
Last month, a 70-year-old farmer was killed following an accident on a farm in Silverbridge, South Armagh.
