Mr Cumming has harvested half his barley and hopes the weather will remain settled.
“We‘re on a knife edge. We simply can‘t have any more rain.”
He has only recently finished oilseed rape harvest and is happy all the crop was accepted into the store.
He believes the lack in quality depended on how long the rape was left in swathe.
“We‘re not counting our chickens yet. There‘s still a lot to get through.”
He still has 135 ha (330 acres) of wheat to harvest. 25ha (60 acres) of it is leaning but is happy that most of it is still standing despite recent stormy weather.
