Andrew not combined for 10 days
Andrew Peddie has not cut anything at Cornceres Farm, Anstruther, Fife, for the past 10 days and is really struggling with ground conditions.
He was about halfway through his wheat, but had not cut any spring barley. “It’s for my own feed so I’m not too worried about it at the moment.”
The Robigus and Alchemy cut so far had yielded well at over 10t/ha (4t/acre), but quality and yields were starting to drop now, he said.
“If we could just get four or five dry days it would make all the difference.”
