Bayer CropScience is offering growers the chance to see its trials with new fungicide, Xpro, without leaving home, through its virtual trials tour computer program.

High resolution photos were taken from several angles of each plot at five trials sites, which allowed growers to compare treatments, the firm’s Phillippa Overson explained. “You can zoom in to look at the top and bottom of the crop and the program displays the yield over the untreated and the percent disease control.”

To take the virtual tour growers need to contact their local Bayer representative. A similar tour of this season’s trials should be available in the New Year.
