Dragon Heat’s burners on show
Cereals exhibitor 2009
Dragon Heat provides a range of burners designed to make energy from waste.
The company will be showcasing its range of burners and will explain about biomass heating requirements and choosing the right system.
“A Dragon can recover your investment faster than wind or solar power and typically pay for the investment within two years,” claims the company’s David Taylor. He reckons 1t of wood with 20% moisture content will yield at least 4500kW of energy, equivalent to 450 litres of fuel oil.
“If oil costs 30p/litre, then a tonne of wood will save £90.” Add on disposal costs, landfill tax, carbon levy, skip hire and haulage costs and every tonne of waste burned can save £140, he adds.
