Fuel prices increase again in latest IPM survey
Average fuel prices continued to climb last month, results from the latest Farmers Weekly/NFU Inputs Price Monitor have revealed.
Red diesel averaged almost 53p/litre in April, up nearly 3p on the previous month, white diesel was 8p/litre higher at 111.2p/litre. Kerosene was relatively unchanged at 44.4p/litre, but average water prices were higher at 137p/m3.
With the 2009/10 fertiliser season drawing to a close, there was little change in ammonium nitrate, which remained at £230/t.
The IPM survey is based on real input prices paid by farmers and as such it relies on your help each month to get a fair picture of what’s happening across the country.
