Help us find ‘The Greatest Farming VIEW’
The countryside is full of beautiful views.
Some have rugged charm, some have picture-postcard beauty. Some epitomise the type of agriculture that characterises a region or are made unique by an unusual landmark or building. Some, simply, have a special resonance to those who live there or have a strong association with the spot. Others are appreciated mainly by those who work on the land – the sight of healthy stock, for example.
With your help – and in association with EB Equipment – we want to discover what is ‘The Greatest Farming View’.
We’ve shown just one contender below and there are more suggestions in this picture gallery, but it’s your photos we really want to see now.

This view was captured by Mike Cumming on the afternoon of 22 August last year at Ladenford Farm on the Lour Estate in Scotland. Mike says: “I particularly like the shot as, to me, it reflects a perfect Angus harvest day – the rolling countryside, the flat stone walls, blue skies with a sprinkling of fair weather clouds, mottled light on the trees, animals in the background and spring barley coming off in a cloud of harvest dust.”

Everyone who submits a photo will be entered into a draw – the first one drawn in each of the six categories will win a year’s free subscription to Farmers Weekly.

As well as The Greatest Farming View, we’ll be looking for your suggestions in five other categories in this series.
With your help, we’ll be establishing what is The Greatest Farming Innovation, Figure, Machine, Decade and Cock-up.
We’ll be drawing up a shortlist from all the suggestions and then giving you the chance to vote.
