HGCA SITE IS CROPS NO 1
THE HOME Grown Cereals Authority”s revised website has been voted Crops magazine”s number one site for 2005.
www.hgca.com went live in July 2004 building on the success of the old version by giving more free information to levy payers and subscribers in a clear, simple format.
New features include:
Market data centre – updated daily
E-conference format – view conference papers online (levy payers/subscribers only)
More comprehensive cereals map
New look prospects – published when required, rather than at set intervals
Non-food crops pages
Sow2succeed section
- Improved cereal exports section including exporters directory
Policy area – covering CAP/WTO issues
The new features add to the range of practical topic sheets, variety data, statistics, cereals and oilseeds market data and excellent e-mail bulletins for subscribers. “There is a far stronger focus on targeting information – much of the information is restricted to levy payers and subscribers, which has proved popular,” says the HGCA”s site manager Marsha Ribeiro.
