Interim boss of horticulture sector body announced by DEFRA

Andrew Colquhoun has been announced as an interim chair of the shadow horticultural sector company and board member of Levy Board UK.

The move follows John Hall’s resignation on 27 April.

Mr Colquhoun is currently chairman of the National Horticultural Forum.

He will represent horticultural interests on Levy Board UK over the next few months, pending the results of a full public appointment process to replace John Hall.

The post will be advertised on the Public Appointment Unit (PAU) Website and DEFRA’s public appointment page from 15 May.

Advertisements will also appear in the specialist horticulture trade press and the farming press from Friday 18 May.
The closing date for applications will be Monday 11 June 2007.
