“It’s all standing and it’s all bright, but it wants cutting now,” he said. He was combining the Solstice at 22% moisture in between the showers. “The forecast is just shocking for the next two weeks.”
Mr Chamberlain had finished his Grace oilseed rape, which came in below average at 3.6t/ha (1.45t/acre).
He also had Quench and Waggon spring barley to cut for seed, which was ready now and still standing.
