Landquip to reveal tri-fold sprayer boom

Cereals visitors are set to see Landquip’s CV self propelled sprayer equipped with the firms new tri-fold 36m boom.

The boom is extremely compact when folded and can be carried in a lower position, greatly improving transport height.

Available as a 24/30, 24/32 or 24/36m, the tri-fold boom is constructed from newly developed lattice type aluminium extrusions. This new design gives the ultimate in wide boom strength, rigidity, and performance, while weighing only 680 kilos at 36 metres wide.

The boom’s low weight keeps the centrifugal forces experienced in wide booms when turning to a minimum resulting in reduced stresses in the boom and hence increased reliability.

The tri-fold boom is fitted with multi-head nozzle bodies which can accommodate the Agroco Umbrella nozzle for liquid fertiliser application.

The boom’s lattice work construction allows the Umbrella nozzles to remain in place on the nozzle turret when other nozzles need to be used.

Landquip will be demonstrating a 36 metre, 4000 litre, 225hp CV self propelled sprayer in the Sprays & Sprayers arena – Stand SS 112.
