POTATO GROWERS can receive on-line training in how to use in-crop foliar sprout suppressant Fazor (maleic hydrazide) via a module developed by Dow AgroSciences.

The aim is to ensure advisors and users understand the product works and how to get the best from it, explained the firm’s John Sellars.

The module was available last season but has been revised and updated.

Those completing it will be entitled to one CPD BASIS point, a technical guide and a Fazorometer to gauge tuber sizes.

After an extended planting season growers should be extra careful when spraying to achieve maximum efficacy, he noted.
