PATRICK HOLDEN, director of the Soil Association, has been made a CBE in the New Year Honours List.

Mr Holden, who is also a partner in a mixed organic farm in west Wales, was recognised for services to organic farming.

Other farmers included in this year‘s list include NFU vice president Meurig Raymond and his twin brother Mansel, who is NFU Cymru‘s milk board chairman.

Both of the men were awarded MBEs for services to agriculture in Wales.
