Yields have yet to be confirmed over the weighbridge but the yield monitor on the combine indicated that it was just under 7.4 t/ha (3 t/acre) and a moisture content of 15%.
On some of the very sandy light land near the coast the crop suffered a little bit during the hot spell in June.
Mr Middleditch hopes to make a start on his 140ha (350 acre) oilseed rape crop on Tuesday (July 27).

So far the rape has a 9% moisture.
