Planting and variety survey 2023 now open

The AHDB planting and variety survey which aims to provide an estimate of the area of cereals and oilseed rape intended for the UK harvest 2023 is open.

The survey provides the only pre-harvest planting view of UK grain and oilseed crops.

Farmers and growers are encouraged to submit the online form (which takes about five minutes to complete) in order to assess the varietal composition of cereals and oilseed rape crops in the UK.

By working together, the AHDB hopes to produce an accurate and reliable database to quantify domestic production and provide considerable value to the sector.

Knowing more about the UK’s domestic market, such as the regional supply of cereal and oilseed rape crops, can help shape marketing decisions and cropping strategies.

Data are broken down into crops, as well as UK flour miller group and malting or non-malting approved feed barley.
