A new Roundup (glyphosate) compatibility list, available from distributors, shows most modern formulations may be tank-mixed with more than 50 of post-planting pre-emergence sprays, says Monsanto.

Extensive tests show precisely which pre-em herbicide and adjuvant mixtures are known to be physically compatible with which Roundup brands and under what conditions, says the firm’s Manda Sansom.

“We’ve added a number of new tank-mix partners to our database this season to give growers the most up-to-date information.”

Adding the herbicide allows growers, especially those unable to achieve stale seed-bed or stubble weed control, a chance to boost it later, she explains.
