Slow progress in Yorkshire
Phil Dowson said rain had slowed harvest progress at High House Farm, North Yorkshire.
Royal oilseed rape yielded 4.4t/ha, which was slightly down on last year’s 5t/ha. But considering the mixed weather this season, he was fairly pleased with the crop. Royal also did well and had good oil content, he said.
The wheat is looking ok at the moment, and he expects to start cutting soon.
