Sugar factory to open Sept 15

BRITISH SUGAR and the NFU have agreed the factory opening dates for the coming campaign.
 
Wissington factory will open on Sept 15 with the remaining five factories – Allscott, Bury St Edmunds, Cantley, Newark and York – opening on Sept 22.
 
British Sugar‘s manufacturing director, Karl Carter said: “British Sugar and the NFU wanted to give growers and hauliers as much notice as possible, to give them the opportunity to plan their harvest.”
