Tracker nod adds option
FUNGICIDE OPTIONS for cereal growers have been boosted with the approval of Tracker (epoxiconazole + boscalid) (Arable, Oct 29).
Boscalid is a new chemical class with no cross-resistance to other products, says BASF”s Tony Grayburn. “Tracker provides all the benefits of Opus (epoxiconazole) but with a significant boost from the boscalid.”
The LERAP category B product offers good control of foliar and stem based diseases, such as Septoria tritici and eyespot in wheat and rhynchosporium and net blotch in barley, he says.
It will be priced in the low ÂŁ20’s per litre.
“The minimum application rate is one litre/ha in protectant situations and higher rates should be used for curative control – the full rate is 1.5 litres/ha.”
