Farm walks focus on youngstock management

The National Youngstock Association is organising a series of free farm walks focusing on youngstock and heifer rearing. Organised by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF), the aim of the farm walks is to exchange information on calf health and welfare while improving the performance of beef and dairy youngstock rearing.

Topics to be discussed include information on the post-weaning period, disbudding calves, advice on BVD and managing the environment. The farm walks will take place across the UK from September to October and visitors will also be eligible to claim Dairy Pro points for the day.
