AgriScot pulls in 7000

About 7000 visitors to the AgriScot Show saw dairy cattle from across Britain compete for 14,000 of prize money at Ingliston, Edinburgh on Weds (Nov 17).

Organisers were delighted with the attendance and hope to develop the event in the coming years.

Robin Young, chairman of the organising committee, said he would like to the see the arable sector become involved. But, he said, there now seems little prospect of a merger with the Scottish National Winter Fair, after talks between the two show bodies broke down last week.
