Arla raises Milk Link member price for September

Arla Milk Link (AML) members will get a 0.77p/litre price increase from 2 September on the back of better business performance.

This takes the AML standard litre price to 32.31p/litre from 2 September 2013 after the removal of a 0.3p/litre payment for top performance within the standard litre. This move had been made because only about 20 of AML’s 1,600 members are performing at a level which qualifies for this element of its standard litre price, said a spokesperson.

“This more closely reflects what’s achievable for our membership,” she said. The 20 or so members who make the grade for the 0.3p/litre payment will continue to receive it until 31 December 2013 if they continue to qualify for it.

The AML organic premium is also to rise by 2.35p/litre from 1 September to put the AML organic standard litre price at 40p/litre.
