August price rise for Graham’s milk producers
Suppliers of Graham’s The Family Dairy will get a 0.5p/litre milk price increase from 1 August.
The firm, based in Stirling, is Scotland’s largest independent dairy and will be paying its 70 Scottish farmer milk suppliers 27.3p/litre next month.
“We greatly value our relationship with farmers and hope our decision to raise the price we pay for our quality milk will help to alleviate some of the financial burden they currently face,” said chairman Robert Graham Snr.
The multi-award winning family company has products in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, Peckham’s, CJ Lang and David Sands. It carried off both the dairy product and marketing initiative of the year titles at the 2011 Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards.
