Borderway buys HBOS portfolio

BORDERWAY INSURANCE Brokers, a subsidiary of Carlisle-based livestock auctioneer Harrison and Hetherington, has announced the purchase of the farm insurance portfolio of Halifax Bank of Scotland.

The acquisition took effect from July 1 and sees Borderway‘s insurance business grow by more than 20%.

Borderway is set to gain business nationwide, and has guaranteed all clients a full insurance appraisal in the next 12 weeks.

HBOS agricultural managers are to help Borderway develop new insurance business in Scotland.
