It is believed the farmer was on his way to Hereford market when the tractor he was driving collided with a lamppost, causing the trailer to topple over.

At the time of the accident, 114 sheep were on the trailer. Twenty died at the scene and the rest escaped.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said all but two of the sheep had been accounted for and the accident was not being investigated by police.
