Farmer, 51, dies after farm roof fall accident

A Scottish farmer has died in hospital three days after an accident on a farm in Fife.
Steven Wylie, 51, fell through a roof at Longloch Farm, located in the hills between Burntisland and Kirkcaldy, on 16 September.
He suffered serious injuries in the fall and was flown by air ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
But he died from his injuries on Saturday, 19 September, his family said.
Mr Wylie’s funeral will take place at 11.45am this Friday (9 October) at Kirkcaldy Crematorium.
In an announcement placed in the Edinburgh Evening News and The Scotsman, his family said all his friends were invited to attend the funeral.
Mr Wylie ran Longloch Farm with his wife Christine and father Ian.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is making enquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death.
