Tractor driver in ‘serious condition’ after ditch crash

A tractor driver has been seriously injured after his vehicle slewed off the road and crashed into a ditch.

The man, aged in his 50s, suffered serious injuries to his chest and abdomen following the crash, which happened at about 3.30pm on Wednesday (26 September) in March, Cambridgeshire.

Paramedics gave the man pain relief at the scene and he was then airlifted by Magpas Air Ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a serious condition upon arrival.

A land ambulance from East of England Ambulance Service and a crew from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the incident.
