The 62-year-old driver was cut free and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. His condition is unknown, but his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
The road was closed for several hours to allow police to carry out an investigation.
Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101 with any information.
Sergeant Malcolm Kinross, from the roads policing unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the injured gentlemen, and we are seeking the assistance of anybody who may have seen the collision or tractor prior to the collision.”
