Phone app allows dairy farmers to easily record training
Dairy farmers can now easily keep track of their training on the updated Dairy Pro mobile phone app.
The app will allow farmers, herdsman and students to record attendance at training events in one place, which will be easy to share if they are requested to do so.
Technology that detects the location of your phone and checks it against events scheduled to take place the day makes it even easier to select the training course relevant to you at the click of a button.

After being tested by visitors at the Dairy Tech event in February, it is now available to download on any smart device that is supported by Android, Windows or Apple.
The app may be useful for:
- A dairy farmer recording training for their milk purchaser or Red Tractor requirements
- A dairy employer aiming to attract and retain high-quality staff
- A manager, herdsman or farmworker improving their experience, abilities and career prospects
- A student building a skills base towards their first full-time job
“Provided the location detection on your phone is switched on, the app can do all the work for you, leaving you with a simple click of a button to register for the event you are attending,” says Helen Brookes, Dairy Pro manager.
“Your points for attending the event will then be added to your or your farm’s record, depending on the type of membership you have. It couldn’t be simpler.”
Full instructions on downloading the app can be found on the Dairy Pro website.
