Farmers Weekly launches new online jobs service

Farmers Weekly has launched a new online jobs service boasting some of the most advanced technology powering any jobs site in the UK.
The service will deliver a superior online experience for jobseekers and recruiters in the agricultural industry, according to online editor Julian Gairdner.
“We already have a significant business online in the jobs market but the new service offers recruiters the combination of high volumes of good quality active job seekers plus access to passive job seekers.
“This is a really exciting development in the agricultural jobs market and for the website. At a time when on-farm labour is becoming an increasingly challenging issue, we’re hoping the new service will help to provide more opportunities for seekers and recruiters to be connected.”
Users of the service will be able to:
§ Search the latest jobs from leading employers easily and quickly
§ Apply for jobs as soon as they are advertised
§ Register for ‘Jobs by email’ alerts
§ Use the Career Advice section to check out the pay, prospects, players and key talking points of their industry careers in 2008
§ Find out if the company they want to work for is recruiting in the Who’s Recruiting section
§ Post their CVs and make them searchable for recruiters
The new service will also benefit recruiters as they will find it easier to load jobs individually or in bulk and measure accurately the response they get to job postings.
“It will help job seekers find their ideal job quickly and easily, and recruiters to fill vacancies with high calibre candidates,” Mr Gairdner added.
“We have even more exciting developments coming up in future and the new job site will benefit from the upgrades as we deploy them.”
