FWi launches new e-classifieds service

Farmers Weekly Interactive has launched a new e-classifieds service.

The launch marks yet another key step in the development of the site which recently won Business Website of the Year at the Periodicals Publishers Association – the UK’s magazine and website “Oscars”.

Apart from a new look and feel, the service has moved on to a completely new platform, online editor Julian Gairdner confirmed.

“We’ve looked closely at usability issues to offer a better experience.”

Key features include a new image service which offers multiple images for each ad, automatic image re-sizing on upload and a slideshow for multiple images.

There’s also a quicker and more effective search facility using the latest search software, many more advertising opportunities for sellers, and an easy-to-use interactive map to show exactly where the sale items are based.

“It’s about helping advertising customers showcase their machinery and equipment better, and allowing users to see more clearly what’s on offer.”

The new platform also marks a step change in reporting metrics to sellers.

“A new dashboard enables advertisers to see activity stats, reports and credits, helping them track response performance better than ever before,” Mr Gairdner added.
