Improving efficiency

• A new supplement designed to improve feed efficiency, CRINA, has been brought to the UK market this week by the Denis Brinicombe Group.

In trial work CRINA has been proven to improve milk production and protein yield in dairy cows and increase daily liveweight gain and feed conversion in beef cattle, explains James Brinicombe. “The work has shown that CRINA adjusts rumen fermentation, slowing the rate of starch and protein breakdown, so the quantity of these elements as by-pass reaching the lower gut is increased.”
