Arthur Lloyd Thomas’s – Muckspreader side rotor

Designed as part of his college course, Arthur Thomas’s clever design improves the efficiency of the humble rotary  muckspreader. To stop muck collecting on the rim of the spreader and then dropping off in heaps on to the field or road, he designed a hydraulicallypowered rotating roller that runs along the length of the spreader.

This pushes any lodging material back into the spreader. It won him the prize for the best project at college.
