Investigation launched into DFoB collapse

The Environment, Food and Rural Affiars Committee has launched an investigation into the implications of the collapse of Dairy Farmers of Britain.

The influential group of MPs will consider the impact of the dairy co-op crisis on farmers and the industry, as well as the leadership at DFoB and DEFRA’s response.

It will also look at the causes and lessons learned from the dairy’s collapse in June.

Anyone affected by the crisis can submit evidence to the committee in writing by 31 August.

Further submissions will be considered after receiver and manager PricewaterhouseCoopers releases a report on the issues surrounding the receivership on 7 September.

Submissions of no more than 2000 words should be emailed to efracom@parliament.uk.

Please include a contact name, telephone number and postal address.
